staff really doing “here’s a list of BAD PEOPLE we will not be presenting the evidence here in this post” style of callout huh

“we will also be permanently erasing the evidence from our website"

We’ll be monitoring Tumblr for signs of state-sponsored disinformation campaigns, and if we see anything we will…

Terminate the accounts and remove their original posts.

Notify you if we determine that you’ve liked, reblogged, replied to, or followed a propaganda account.

So they might even sic cops on someone for their tumblr activity? This is, uh, startling, especially given there’s no explanation on how they make that decision.

The number of blogs on the Russian Propagandist list that reference Blackness in their urls stands out to me a lot. It’s not impossible that they’re all fake and Tumblr has solid proof, but uh… it’s kind of striking innit. Especially given, at least going off URLs, the relative absence of neonazi blogs on this list.

I don’t know their URLs but I’d be surprised if there aren’t official accounts of US military bodies on Tumblr too. I’m guessing none of them are banned for ‘state-sponsored disinformation campaigns’.

If Tumblr is so concerned with getting rid of “bad” bloggers, why haven’t they don’t anything about the neo-Nazis?
