since i’m cool i used to repeatedly watch this bbc bird documentary dvd for fun when i was like, late elementary school / middle school age, but im glad to say its paying off over a decade later b/c i was hanging out with some cats outside and heard a distinctive birdcall and remembered it from a segment in the series and david attenborough saying it was a cowbird, and i just looked up the call of the brown headed cowbird and i was right about identifying it, so. ornithologist really
