There’s been a lot of controversy over this “anime” and my opinions probably won’t be very popular here on Tumblr.
The creators say that the characters are gonna be very diverse. Okay, but what are their personalities like? What life goals do they have? What adventures do they go on? I’m not against diversity in a show, but you’ve gotta make the characters interesting for me to care about them.
Also, for a show that seems to promote diversity, the writing staff is all white women. How is that diverse?
Will the show be good despite my gripes? I don’t know, but judging from the trailer alone, I’m seeing a lot of red flags.
^^^^^ also for a streaming platform that says they want to help support the anime industry they sure are putting a lot of their focus (and money) on americans..
this isnt even mentioning that the plot synopsis is basically a discount walmart LWA and that the art style is a bland knockoff of cubewatermelon’s/mary cagle’s
