I beg you, don’t push people to like what you like. If really you care about your friends don’t do it.

This might be the dumbest comic I’ve ever seen

this comic is so manipulative and guilt trippy like how you gonna cry bc your friend is sharing their interests with someone with the same interests? ok yall dont like the same thing? then worry abt your life and find ppl with the same interests as you so you can be happy. maybe yall can even STILL be friends on the down low. yall so pussy this is why yall dont even have friends, bc yall think ppl owe you something all the time lmfao

Also why are their bodies drawn like that KANFJANJDA

did y’all miss the “forced” part of this post or what

they werent “forced” to do anything the whole post is manipulative as hell. all this person did was talk abt their intrests and that weirdo felt as if somebody was holding a gun to their head or some shit go read a book

why are they built like yams

From personal experience, I’ve had friends who were mentally and physically abusive to me and liked the same one or two shows that I never got into. But in no way are those shows negatively scarred in my mind. This is just plain mean. It’s not manipulation if someone talks about a show you don’t like.

i once saw a post that was like “caring about plot is straight privilege” and the people on it were legitimately arguing that “gays” will automatically watch ANYTHING with gay people in it no matter what the plot is like because rep & scarcity, and while that explains quite a lot about antis I felt rather put out by that because I’m queer and I sure as hell still care about the plot. If something has gay people in it but as tropes I dislike or is just plain boring I’m not gonna put up with it.

LOL also pretty sure there are a ton of gay people in the movie/showbiz industry who care a lot about plot

the real “problem with political correctness” is not that it’s considered offensive to use slurs, but that there are now many “progressive” environments where saying the right things is more important than doing the right thing. it’s why it’s so easy for abusers to gain traction in leftist circles (they learn the right words quickly and employ them to frame their own behavior as progressive); it’s why so much potential activist energy gets poured into fighting about language; it’s why moderate liberals didn’t believe fer/guson had a problem until the police emails with actual racist language were leaked. (you can do racist things, you just can’t SAY racist things.) i don’t have a neat conclusion here but a related point is that i’m so much happier since i started focusing on like, being a good kind caring person instead of trying to remove the word “crazy” from the vocabulary of everyone in my family

Just saying this is truly one of the best “discourse” posts on this site like……this hits the nail directly on the head re: what is going on with language right now and everyone pushing back in the notes only serves to further prove the point it’s making
