This cringe culture surrounding ~*embarrassing*~ but otherwise harmless fandom trends over the years is fucking pointless. Like, shit, there’s a ton of fandom trends that I personally loathe but I don’t care if someone looks like a total doofus for worshiping their favorite celebrity or squealing about their ship or whatever the heck. We are all doofuses. We are all absolute fucking weenies, and I would have no qualms about shoving any one of us into a locker including myself. No One in Fandom is “Cool.” So, why piss on other people for the most harmless shit when you can just Enjoy The Shit You Like. Worrying about how to be a Cool Acceptable fan of something is Trash and You’re gonna have a bad time, and thinking you’re superior to people who Cannot Chill The Fuck Out About The Thing They Like is also Trash.
