every time this post comes up on my dash i drop everything and do my absolute best to pay attention to every single minute detail. I end up watching it at least three times, clinging onto the vain hope that some ancient, deep-seated part of my brain will flicker on and suddenly i will understand what the context of this video is. unfortunately that has yet to happen. I still have no idea what this monologue is from, what it means, if the kid wrote it himself, if he got his friend to read it out loud for him, if he found it online, nothing. I legitimately can’t tell if this was ironic/tongue-in-cheek or if it’s completely earnest. I don’t even know what app he’s using; it looks kinda like music.ly, but I’m honestly not sure. were the whips originally on there or did somebody edit them in? by that line of logic, was the monologue even originally part of the video or did somebody put in a weird monologue over a funny video of a kid dancing? That isn’t likely, as his movements seem to be at least slightly choreographed to the monologue. no matter how much i try to excavate this video, I’m just left with more questions like some sort of fucked up mobius strip or a bad dream with an endless hallway. this video is a curse. it is a plague on my conscious and it is ruining me
