PSA If you wouldn’t say it to their face, don’t say it in the tags. We see them.
I kinda regret looking through the reblogs. It’s impressive how many people reblogged it with disrespectful words – telling the OP to die, calling them a coward (as if attacking them in group is an courageous act) or making fun of them, something i consider hypocrisy at it’s finest. What the HELL is wrong with these people? Respect others as you would like to be respected or stay on your own lane.
I got exactly the same feedback when i posted something similar, and honestely, I have to laugh at how some of these immature kids stay the same, complaining about everything without considering others feelings. I mean, it will kill you to not use these tags? Because, otherwise, it can REALLY hurt the artist, and i not gonna write a text about it, because MANY artists already did it.
@pommepomme i feel really bad about what happened to you… I can’t do much about it, but i can offer a hug, because i understand how you feel, moreover i respect how you feel.
Now a few words for those who attacked the OP: They did nothing to YOU to deserve your hate, or disrespect. if you can’t even respect an artist by not using a DAMN hashtag, why do you think people have to respect you and your beliefs as well? Respect is a two-way process – if you want to receive it, be prepared to give it in return. If you don’t like the post or if you are not comfortable with it, you can move elsewhere, but don’t waste your time on hating it.
Sorry, don’t usually put in my two cents about these kind of things. But scrolling through these reblogs, a ton of people are saying “oh this shouldn’t make an artist sad at all, it’s a compliment!” No. No, no no. YOU do not get to dictate how an artist feels, or anyone but yourself for that matter. YOU are receiving their artwork to view and enjoy for absolutely free on this site. The very least you baboons can do is be respectful of their feelings. Unless they specifically SAY it’s fine to tag as kin stuff, then just be a decent fucking person and not tag it as such. If you really want an artist to draw something SPECIFICALLY for you, pay them. Because otherwise, they did not pour their talent and effort into an art just for you to claim it’s about you or for you.
And on a side note, more people were saying that the “I hate this ship but this is cute” and that kind of stuff shouldn’t be offensive to an artist. Again, you don’t get to tell someone else how they should feel. And also, is it REALLY that fucking hard to keep that little, unimportant shit to yourself? Do y’all really gotta even say anything about it? Does it help the artist improve, does it make ANY difference whatsoever? Doubtful. Sometimes, you just gotta know when to keep your thoughts to your damn self. There are plenty of other talented artists who DO draw things you’re probably into, go enjoy their content instead if it’s THAT important.
