This is misinformation. The blogs they deleted were investigated and confirmed to have ties with the IRA (Internet Research Agency, affiliated with the Russian government). They were among thousands of people working to spread disinformation during the election. Stop spreading more misinformation. You can read the original post here which ironically stresses that people shouldn’t just mindlessly believe misinformation.
You guys are literally showing how successful the IRA was in sowing suspicion, discord and distrust. This is exactly what they wanted to do.

Except that we’ve known that Russian trolls posed as BLM activists on tumblr since last month. We knew they were doing this, we just didn’t know which specific accounts they were. But this isn’t really news at all.
It totally makes sense Russia did this, we’ve already had confirmation they were posing as BLM activists and other left-leaning political blogs on Tumblr from major news sites for a long while. Wake up and smell the flowers, Russia has been fucking with us. Tumblr likely has been working with the FBI and other federal authorities to identify the accounts. They don’t have to be “transparent” when it’s already transparently obvious what happened and how they did it. They can’t be specific because that would be giving away how the FBI tracked down the accounts, as likely their methods are classified so that Russia doesn’t figure out how to go around them. Everything checks out.
